Talent Development
Talent development is a cornerstone of our success and the foundation on which our business strategy is built and executed. At any given time, more than a quarter of our associates are actively involved in some form of development assignment or project. This cross-functional training allows us to fully prepare our associates for leadership positions in our company. In fact, 40% of all jobs filled within Batesville are internal promotions.
The Tree Is Me!
Great people make a great organization, and a great organization creates
real value for its customers. Batesville's interdepartmental Workforce
Engagement Team works throughout the year to continuously improve the
company by way of engagement, enrichment and education. The team,
established in 2001, focuses their efforts in the following areas: associate
communication and recognition, community outreach, health and wellness
promotions and a variety of social activities held throughout the year.
The group is commonly known as the "Tree Is Me" team, and the logo
portrays the proud Batesville heritage with the dual tree emblem which has
long been associated with Batesville. Large, healthy, and growing trees have
strong roots that provide a solid foundation. In the shadow of the larger
tree, a smaller tree represents future growth and stability. Great people
lead to great products, and great people and great products provide the
strong roots that lead to great companies.
New associates are welcome and encouraged to join this team.
Our company is committed to equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all
qualified individuals regardless of their race, religion, color, national
origin, sex, age, disability, veteran status or other legally protected
status. All phases of the employment process include selection, promotion,
compensation, training, disciplinary action, and termination are covered by
this commitment to EEO. There is an expectation that associates, especially
managers and supervisors, will act in such a manner so as to fully support
the commitment to equal employment opportunities.
